Slayer: Undisputed attitude
09/02/10 || Kampfar
I daydream about slaying, both women and men, especially so when listening to Slayer or any other band who never committed a whiny ballad. This list of bands, a list you won’t get here, will of course never sport Metallicrap. Hating on Metallica is old, not very provocative and therefore kind of lame – but, what the fallen heroes did at the time Slayer released “Undisputed attitude”, “Load” exactly, earns them at least 5 blows in the face as executed by me using bazookas.
The undisputed world-champions of cocaine snorting should stop faking anger and hang themselves. For real. Like Richard did.
I’m sorry
For something I didn’t do
Lynched somebody
But I didn’t know who
You blame me
For slavery
A hundred years before I was born
Guilty of being white
I’m convicted
Of a racist crime
I’ve only served
19 years of my time
Guilty of being white
Guilty of being right
Herr Araya ain’t white, perhaps not even right, but fuck knows the dude with genes belonging to the rocky mountains of Chile screams his heart out on the song I recently quoted from. This by the way a song not courtesy of the band he has been in since long before getting gray hairs in a beard not at all on par with Rasputin’s. Or K’s. Beards aside, what matters here is that just mentioned mister screams his fucking heart out whenever needed on this disc. Very often, that is, but not all the time. Only close to.
It’s not exactly groundbreaking news I’m about to deliver, an earthquake of the same magnitude wouldn’t even hurt your poodle, but “Undisputed attitude” is nonetheless Slayer covering punk. What I just wrote isn’t entirely true. Except for “Can’t stand you”, “Ddamm”, and “Gemini”, it circa is though. The first two exceptions are penned by Mr. Hanneman, and are punk indeed, while the latter is courtesy of Mr. King and not punk at all. In addition, that cover of The Stooges, featuring Iggy Pop – a scary dude who once rang to Six Feet Below Crap and threatened the world with murder – doesn’t sound like spunk either.
Before I go onwards I have to mention another mister, Paul Bostaph his name, now of Testament fame. That rhyme was made to irritate you, Habakuk, but more important it is to mention the very fine banging, kicking – and whatever the word is for doing cymbals – done by that guy you now know a bit about. Not Haba no.
If you obtained this information via a scrambled message found on a computer in a radioactive desert somewhere, in the future, I’d like you to know that I and Kuk once wrote for Global Domination. This a fine site pissing itself in the face whilst taking the piss out of the world. A world still harboring humans. At least one. Fuck you, go kill yourself, rot along with the rest of us you complete waste of sperm.
I love slayerized punk. Fuck you.
